Surprise Savings in SG Tourist Attractions

zoo One of the surprising things I noticed is that since I have been more financially literate, I am more into looking for discounts and value for money offers.  This was very evident in early June when I had visitors from PH who stayed for a week here in SG. Although, it was my visitor paying for the entrance/admission fees I helped research the cost and if there are discounts being offered.  It was not a fool proof research because the price for the 3-park bundle that I got was not the cheapest one.  But it just proves that there are ways to find discounted rates which would be beneficial for my future visitors. 🙂

Original price of 3 parks (Zoo, Bird Park and Night Safari) orig cost

3-IN-1 Park Hopper (using POSB Credit Card) – This is the one I am most familiar with and I often use this to book tickets when I have visitors. 3ParkHopper

Travel Agency in Chinatown – This is as per recommendation of one of my colleagues that I never tried before and to my surprise it has the most value for money.  The only hassle is you need to go to Chinatown to personally purchase the tickets and some travel agency only accept cash payment.  The original travel agency I did a research on had more expensive rates for the 3 parks so you also need to compare prices with a few travel agencies.

Too bad that my last visitor was only able to get 21% discount as the original travel agency I did my research on had more expensive tickets for these 3 parks but cheaper rates for the other attractions. It was good to have visitors and it gave me a chance to be a tourist in SG, which I consider my second home.  It also gave me a chance to be a travel agent scouting for deals and be a tourist guide minus the flag escorting my visitors to the different tourist spots.  Looking forward to my next set of visitors in July. 🙂
